Anyway to store Blu-rays to external hard drive for playback with Roku 3?

Last weekend, I searched the Blu-ray movies in google on my tea time, I saw a Blu-ray movie “American Hustle”, the rating was 7.7, so that I really want to watch it on my Roku 3. I asked my best friend and he told me that there were too many free software on the Internet to ripping/copying Blu-ray movies. I tested trial version of Blu-Ray ripping software. Hoping to find a good one to solve my solutions. Finally I tried MakeMKV but had issues. Preliminary tests with Pavtube went smoothly. Sometime, I can also watch Blu-ray movies on ipad for sofa surfing, Nexus 7 for sofa surfing, anywhere I want to have a rest. I think as a movie lover, this is a good choice.

If you have the same situation, you can download Pavtube Bytecopy and have a try, Practice makes choice, you will be surprised because of the software can convert Blu-ray movies to suitable formats for playing on your all devices with zero quality loss, including Roku 3, iPad Air, Nexus 7, etc. It’s perfect!

To Blu-ray movie lovers“The Hunger Games”

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is presented on Blu-ray courtesy of Lionsgate Films with an AVC encoded 1080p transfer in 1.78:1 (for the Hunger Games sequences) and 2.40:1 (for all other sequences). This is perhaps appropriately an even darker, moodier experience than the first film, with deep, shaded scenes making up the bulk of the film. Contrast is very strong and shadow detail remains strong throughout the film. Colors have been graded fairly aggressively throughout the film. A lot of the District 12 sequences are bathed in a slate gray or ice cold blue color, with flesh tones and other pops of primaries intentionally desaturated. While this is an understandable stylistic decision, it does tend to slightly mitigate fine detail at times. Once or twice, Francis Lawrence and cinematographer Jo Willems suddenly offer a completely natural, robust looking palette, and these segments pop incredibly well. The Hunger Games themselves are in a sort of semi-tropical environment, and the greens are lushly presented, though, again, several key sequences take place in the dark. This transfer shows absolutely no signs of artificial sharpening or other digital tweaking and recreates the original theatrical experience exceedingly well.

As with the first film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire features an incredibly well detailed, bombastic and immersive lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 mix. All channels are regularly employed with a wealth of well done foley effects and score. Crowd noises spill through the side and surround channels on regular occasions, and such intentionally hokey elements as the big tv show hosted by Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci) have cheesy music and effects dotting various channels. LFE springs into action regularly throughout the track, including a spectacular fireworks display early in the film and, later, when Katniss discovers a weakness in the Games' system and decides to exploit it. Through it all, dialogue is always very cleanly and clearly presented and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire offers great reference quality audio from the first moment to the last.

Need For Speed (2014) Movie Review

Movie information:

Need for Speed is an action-adventure movie based on the popular series of racing video games by Electronic Arts. Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) stars as Tobey Marshall, a street racer who also upgrades race cars for a living. After being released from prison for a murder he didn't commit with vengeance on his mind, Marshall is determined to defeat Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper) -- his former business partner and ex-NASCAR driver -- in the De Leon race, the greatest underground racing event where only the best drivers are invited to compete. However, he must dodge cops coast-to-coast and avoid the bounty Brewster placed on his car in order to make the race in time. Expect plenty of car chases and reckless driving -- some with awful consequences. Language and nudity will also accompany what looks to be a fast-paced thrill ride.

The story chronicles a near-impossible cross-country race against time-one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. In a last attempt to save his struggling garage, blue-collar mechanic Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul)-who with his team skillfully builds and races muscle cars on the side-reluctantly partners with wealthy, arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). Just as a major sale to car broker Julia Bonet (Imogen Poots) looks like it will save the business, a disastrous, unsanctioned race results in Dino framing Tobey for manslaughter.

Two years later and fresh out of prison, Tobey is set on revenge with plans to take down Dino in the high-stakes De Leon race-the Super Bowl of underground racing. To get there in time, Tobey must run a high-octane, action-packed gauntlet, dodging cops coast-to-coast and dealing with fallout from a dangerous bounty Dino put on his car. With his loyal crew and the surprisingly resourceful Julia as allies, Tobey defies odds at every turn and proves that even in the flashy world of exotic supercars, the underdog can still finish first.
